IN BECOME (Junk Collection)
opening / inauguration: Tuesday / Thursday March 13 / March 2008 Loggia dei Mercanti they do trigger the imagination, revealing almost mirrors the expression of the mind and the contents of the heart, told through stories articulated Marine (Junk Fish), floral still lifes (Junk Flowers) and three-dimensional compositions (Junk Bodies). The exhibition, sponsored by the City of Genoa, relies on the support of the Friends of Life's Fund, and of LEGAMBIENTE Pentapolis.
IN BECOME (Junk Collection), staged by Marillina Fortuna
It features large and medium size sculptures, installations and works, made from scrap Collected Entirely along sandy shores: fragments, oxidized metal and plastic objects, wooden pieces, ropes, polished glass, as put together naturally and ironically, to revive something dirty, accidentally swallowed up by the sea.
What is the result? Material objects looking like mirrors which reveal both the expression of the mind and the contents of the heart, as told about through complex sea story (Junk Fish), floral still lives (Junk Flowers),and 3-D compositions (Junk Bodies).
The exhibition, sponsored by the Municipality of Genoa, is also supported by the no profit association 'Amici della Vita', LEGAMBIENTE, PENTAPOLIS.
